Our Social Innovation village

All Social innovation refers to new strategies, concepts, ideas and organizations that meet social needs of all kinds — from working conditions and education to community development and health. Particularly in a recession economy, the opportunity for start-up can be limited through many factors – market, finance, staff or customer base. By thinking innovatively, we will study how the business model can be translated from a traditional profit taking model to a surplus making model such as social enterprise. 

Village Concept:  

EBN Congress 2013 will be networking experience. We have designed the Congress to create knowledge transfer (the sessions and workshops) and knowledge exchange (networking). 

In order to increase your networking opportunities with participants of similar interests, when you register, you will be able to choose your area of interest from Digital Innovation, Social Innovation and Cultural Innovation. When we have networking breaks during the conference, special areas - Innovation Villages have been created for you to meet with people of similar interests. Our Villages will be the meeting place for like-minded people. Here you can chat, network, develop friendships and create collaborations. Around each Village – Digital Village, Social Village and Cultural Village - will be exhibitions from businesses and organisations that operate in that particular field of expertise. There will be the opportunity for impromptu presentations, Pecha Kucha sessions and informal project planning sessions. There may even be strange creatures lurking there!
